the ones i  gave from the wsws.

You mean the ones Patrick Martin wrote about on the World Socialist Web, and you copied and pasted here hoping we would think you wrote it?

why the strawman? I said trump over bernie

You are using “strawman” incorrectly. And I don’t see Trump being supported over anyone

WOW! so this is the foundation of your epistemology ….Speaking of idiots, your epistemology seems to be believe everything

You are using “epistemology” incorrectly. You don’t understand what it means.

You saw me use it earlier, so you are just pasting it. You aren’t very smart. At all.

Are you an adult? I mean, like over 16? I just realized I could be debating with a kid, and don’t want to be mean.

And when the bias is called out,  boy do they know how to cry

    Bernie Sanders

“Do I think Jeff Bezos is on the phone, telling the editor of The Washington Post what to do? Absolutely not. It doesn’t work that way,” he said. Then he continued his attack: “But what I think is in media, in general, there is a framework, New York Times operates under, The Washington Post operates under, CNN operates under, for example, I’ve been in politics for a few years. You know what? Not one reporter has ever asked me, ‘Bernie? What are you going to do about the grotesque level of income and wealth inequality?’

Besides the insults, the lack of apostrophes and capitalization, and the non sequiturs, there just isn’t much logic or understanding of basic law or procedure. I can predict the next thing he, or it, will say. I have no expectation of self-reflection or any clarifying questions. If I were writing a book and wanted a troll character, I would write posts just like these.

The problem for Sanders, Trump and politics more generally is that many of the people who hear things like this from them don’t know better. They actually believe there is some sort of conspiracy between corporate America and the news media. And when politicians — whether they are Sanders, Trump or anyone else in either party — stoke that sentiment, that’s dangerous. And bad for democracy. Full stop.

Hey, @player, thanks for posting this! It reminds me of my OP.

So … let’s say there actually IS a conspiracy between corporate America and the news media. How would that work, logistically…?

Seriously, he’s almost cartoonish … so stereotypical it could be someone pretending to be a troll.

But he is a spectacular example of how the Dunning–Kruger effect works.

Oh, and @player, since you had sort of asked for me to reframe my OP as a distinct question, and since the topic of my OP was specifically mentioned in the article you linked, I look forward to actually reading your answer.

    So @player

Let’s say somebody did rub Jeffrey Epstein out to “keep him from talking.”

Why is it more likely to have been Clinton than Trump?

That the media is owned  by large corporations and sponsored by other large corporations who all are in the busniss of ….. wait for it

    making money!!!!!

And this is new or controversial to you?? So if large pharmaceutical companies is one of your major donors  do you think they would appreciate a guy promoting medicare for all?

Or in the case of amazon, do you think bezos would be over moon with tax increase on the wealthy?

Its not a back room meeting of the minds conspiracy. Thats not how it works. People are hired within the hierarchy that reflect the values and beliefs of the top layer. There is a tacit understanding what needs to be written and framing of a news story.  Thats why i post the andrew marr video. I  am free to write whatever i want he cries – yes but if you wrote any differently you would not be where you are now.

Dont know. Just know he had connections with both “sides” of politics and the oligarchs. There is motivation for his silence on all sides

    making money!!!!!

So, the entire system of capitalism and democracy, developed over centuries, doesn’t actually work? People don’t do anything based a trade of the value of their time and effort for something they think will improve their own life? Or, if they think they are doing that, they actually aren’t. They might think they are choosing a news source that is in line with reality, but according to you, they are trained to choose the one that makes someone else more money. This is so ingrained in them, they don’t realize they are doing it. You somehow broke out of this cycle, but the majority of people can’t. This means our entire educational system is also in on it. You can’t go learn how the system works and learn to discern truth from fact because they’ll just teach you that the lies are truth. And even though nations and cultures have developed separately all over the world, somehow all of them have coalesced into this one system that supports all of this brainwashing.

Sigh. If I’d hoped, for one second, I might finally get an answer to this question, they are dashed.

That the media is owned  by large corporations and sponsored by other large corporations who all are in the busniss of ….. wait for it

    making money!!!!!
And this is new or controversial to you??

Gee, @player, no. It’s neither new nor controversial to me. In fact, as I said just yesterday:

…crazy as it may seem, journalists, their bosses, and their bosses’ bosses have debt, mortgages, and mouths to feed.
I’m not being flippant, just pointing to reality. Media outlets are businesses. For good or ill, we do live in a Capitalistic society, and to turn a profit, media outlets need to give the public what it wants.

So, yes. I understand media outlets want and need to make money.

    In my OP, I said:

When I say I have never gotten a satisfactory answer, it’s been because …  I want to know HOW.

Let’s say you asked, “How did the Mafia become so powerful during Prohibition?”

And I said, “Because they were greedy criminals, you idiot!! How can you be so dumb!??”

…Have I answered your question? No. An answer include an explanation of how they manufactured and marketed booze, laundered money, and controlled law enforcement.

Its not a back room meeting of the minds conspiracy.

Given the complexity of all these narratives, yes, it would have to be exactly that.

Every narrative, from his ties to Russia, to his history of racism, to his basic inability to do the job, is represented by tens of thousands of articles by thousands of writers all over the globe, and they fit together and develop each day.

Even the stupidest soap opera on daytime TV has hundreds of writers and directors.

Never mind. You have proven you are just too dumb for this.
