The American public is increasingly skeptical of experts, including scientists, healthcare professionals, and other researchers. Many experts respond by sharing more facts and information and/or bemoaning the lack of science literacy. Laura Lindenfeld believes there is another, more effective way to rebuild public trust in science and research.
Join Skeptical Inquirer Presents on Thursday, June 27, at 7:00 p.m. ET for a free livestream conversation with Laura Lindenfeld, executive director of the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science and Dean of the School of Communication and Journalism at Stony Brook University. Lindenfeld will discuss the Alan Alda Center’s approach to science communication, how it differs from more traditional approaches, and why it works. She’ll also offer strategies that interested scientists and researchers can experiment with in their personal and professional lives.
