I’ve Got a Fever, and the Only Cure is More CSICON!

July 29, 2019

Are you protected against the pseudoscience epidemic???

Outbreaks of antivaxxers, fake medicine, psychic scammers, and science denial are cropping up all across media, politics, and popular culture, and the best way to protect yourself and others is to get inoculated with a healthy dose of skepticism.

It’s time for CSICon 2019 in Las Vegas, the premier skeptics’ conference, October 16-20 at the Flamingo Resort. It’s like a booster shot of science and reason.

And while there are no actual injections involved, there are some side effects, which include:

  • Acute feelings of wonder and inspiration from the brightest minds in science and skepticism
  • Overwhelming sensations of fun and camaraderie
  • Increased ability to tell fact from fiction
  • Significant risk of laughing yourself silly

Exhaustive studies have proven that exposure to CSICon does not turn you into a lizard-person. (Piff the Magic Dragon was already reptilian, so it doesn’t count.)

Special guest speakers will include scientists, activists, authors, and entertainers such as Star Trek’s John de Lancie; SNL’s Julia Sweeney; Snopes founder David Mikkelson; string theorist Brian Greene; evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins; ex-naturopath Britt Marie Hermes, Gwyneth Paltrow’s worst nightmare, Dr. Jen Gunter, climate scientist Michael Mann; and performances by illusionist Banachek and comedian Leighann Lord.

And there’s so much more! Events include hands-on workshops with the Skeptic’s Toolbox, author book signings, a fresh round of Sunday Papers presentations, and even a 1950s-themed party.

Don’t wait. Protect yourself and your loved ones from nonsense, woo, and pseudoscience. And have a hell of a lot of fun with all of us.

October will be here before you know it, so register for CSICon 2019 right now!

We’ll see you in Vegas!
