At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Teacher Institute for Evolutionary Science (TIES) helped teachers stay engaged with their students by providing free guided lessons in evolution for both middle and high school students.
When the virus stood in the way of teachers’ opportunities to gather in person for training and collaboration, TIES brought its widely-acclaimed workshops online with free webinars that can be streamed live, as well as experienced anytime, anywhere.
Now TIES is opening up a whole new avenue of opportunity for science teachers to educate and inspire their students with guided middle and high school units in Spanish.
These new materials include the core lessons, worksheets, answer keys, and exams, as well as additional Spanish-language content such as an interactive Tree of Life (Árbol de la vida interactivo) and a trove of additional links and resources for Spanish speakers. And TIES lessons in Spanish are designed to be as accessible as possible for speakers from all regions where the language is spoken.

The Teacher Institute for Evolutionary Science is a program of the Center for Inquiry and the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason & Science dedicated to providing science teachers with the skills and tools they need to effectively teach evolution and answer its critics—all entirely free of charge. It’s never been more important to make sure all students get a quality, fact-based science education, no matter where they are or what language they speak.
But it can’t happen without your support! Donate today and help bring the wonders of science to the next generation.
